Data the extension processes

Data stored locally (Chrome storage)

  • License / Plugin key (V2) entered by the user
  • Extension settings (e.g., enabled websites)
  • Optional local field-mapping configuration (dev mode)

This data is stored locally in the browser using Chrome extension storage and is not automatically shared with third parties.

Data read from web pages (local processing)

On enabled partner websites, the extension reads page content (DOM) to extract vehicle parameters (for example: make, model, year, mileage, power). This processing happens locally in the browser.

Data sent to our API

When requesting an estimate, the extension sends only the parameters needed to calculate the price to:

  • http://www.megasjednavac.cz/ (API endpoints under /api/v1/)

Requests include the plugin key for authorization.

Purposes of processing

  • Provide vehicle price estimation and display it in an on-page overlay.
  • Enable the user to control on which websites the overlay is allowed.

Sharing

We do not sell user data.
We do not share data with third-party advertisers.
Data is only transmitted to our API in order to perform the requested estimation.

Retention

  • Locally stored settings remain on the device until the user removes the extension or clears extension storage.
  • API logs and usage data may be retained for security, rate limiting, abuse prevention, and service reliability.

Security

We use HTTPS for API requests. Users should keep their plugin key confidential.

User choices

  • The user can enable the extension per-website via Chrome permissions.
  • The overlay can be shown/hidden using the keyboard shortcut O.
  • The user can disable a website or remove permissions at any time.

We may update this policy when the extension changes. The Last updated date will be updated accordingly.
